Status - Messages

The lower part of the dialog displays details about the storage hosts and Prinect Archive System processes.

The Prinect Archive System attempts to create a link to the storage hosts at regular intervals and check their status. A message displays in "Messages" if a storage host cannot be accessed or if an error occurred. The status of the computer in question is then also set to "Not Available".

The messages are listed in a table. The table displays the date, category and text of each message. Buttons can display in the "Functions" column. In such cases, you must confirm the actions in the client.

The total number of all messages displayed appears on the right above the table. You can select how many messages per page will be shown with the "Number per page" list. You can scroll backwards and forwards between the pages if required.

Double clicking a message, choosing the context menu command  "Details" or the main menu command "Functions > Details" will open the "Process Details" tab.

Functions in the Messages Overview

Sorting

You can sort the messages overview by "Date" or "Category" in ascending or descending order. To do this, click the column header. A gray triangle displays beside the column header, displaying the sorting order (ascending/descending). Click again to revert the sorting order.

Table filters

You can confine the messages shown in the overview by using table filters. There is a filter each for the "Type", "Date", "Category" and "Message" columns. Click the filter icon on the left of a column header to open the filter. For multiple selection, hold down the Ctrl key and click the list items you want one after the other. Click "Apply" to apply the filter concerned and confine the overview accordingly. "Clear" resets the filter.

Different filters are possible and vary according to the column:

Message type

You can confine the messages shown to a certain type, for example, to view only errors or certain processes. Multiple selection is possible. See Message type/Process status icons.

Date

You can set either a specific date or a period if you wish to confine the overview by date. You can type in the date directly or select it using the calendar.

Category

A list box is available for you to confine the overview by category. Select the category you want from the list. Multiple selection is possible.

Message (content)

A text box for entering for a search item is available for you to confine the overview by message text. Enter a search item in this box. The overview is restricted to those messages that contain this search item in the text.

Note: To confine the overview by a number of criteria, you must set the filters one after the other. Columns in which filters are set are tagged by a red filter icon preceding the column header.

The edited files or folders are shown in "Details" in the dialog. The complete path of each file is shown as well as its processing status and a message about processing of the file.

Click the close icon "X" next to the tab name "Process Details" to close the window. You return to the dialog you started in.
