You can set the product colors and the order in which colors are printed in this section.
By default, the job settings of a product also are valid for the relevant product parts.
When you select a product and change and save the job settings, you also change these job settings in the product parts.
When you select a product part and change and save its job settings, a set of job settings will automatically be generated especially for this part.
The job settings of a product appear in red if job settings were made separately for product parts.
You can define preferences in the top part of the window.
Assignment of job colors to mark colors
Automatically per Surface
Job colors are assigned automatically to mark colors when this parameter is selected. It is no longer possible to set the mark colors manually. The settings of the previous manual assignment are lost.
User-defined
Job colors can be assigned manually to mark colors when this parameter is selected.
Global
Colors are assigned globally.
in layout
Colors are assigned only in the layout.
Allow spot colors for BCMY
This function lets spot colors be assigned to the process color codes, i.e. black (B), cyan (C), magenta (M) and yellow (Y).
Target Process
This is where you select the color space that will be used for the target "process".

The CMYK color space is used. The L*a*b* color space is used if there are no CMYK data.
L*a*b*, else CMYK
The L*a*b* color space is used. The CMYK color space is used if there are no L*a*b* data.

Take color definitions for new colors from color tables
The preferences for new colors are taken from the color tables when this parameter is selected.
The preferences for new colors are taken from the PDF when this parameter is not selected.
Autoresolve naming conflicts for new colors
If this option is activated, the following processes are executed:
•All spot colors are checked for match and notation (e.g. CYAN to Cyan).
•All PANTONE name extensions (CV, CVC, CVU, ...) are automatically converted to the actual name extensions (C, U).
•HKS and PANTONE colors which differ only in the name extensions are automatically combined under one name. During checking it is not distinguished between upper and lower case.
Submit print order to press
The order in which process colors will be printed is submitted to the press when this parameter is selected.
Output empty separations
Empty separations are also output when this parameter is selected.
