Online Connection of Postpress Devices

Requirements

The following prerequisites must be met for an online connection:

•Enabling of one or more of the following software modules:

·"Workflow" module for folding machines

·"Network Integration" module for saddlestitchers/adhesive binders

·"Postpress Manager Module" for dies/folder-gluers

The respective operating manual of the machine contains a detailed description of the afore­mentioned software modules.

•A network and a network connection provided for every machine

•The software version of the machine (this can give rise to the necessity for a software and hard­ware upgrade).

The control systems of our postpress machines have been expanded so that communication with Pri­nect Integration Manager/Prinect Postpress Manager now occurs directly from the machine control panel. The production data collection was integrated into the respective control concept for this pur­pose.
