"Sheetfed Printing" Sequence Template
The "Sheetfed Printing" sequence is needed to set up the presses used for output provided that this setup can be done in the Prinect workflow. You have to define a separate "SheetfedPrinting" sequence for each press.
You can configure the following options in the "SheetfedPrinting" sequence:
•"Accept approved input only" option
•"Sheet Preview Generation" option
•"Ink Zone Calculation" option
•"Prinect Image Control" option
"Accept approved input only" option
This option is designed for an "approval workflow". Only data (PDF documents, JDF instructions) that were approved beforehand are processed if you enable this option. This means that the customer of this print job and/or the editor at the Prinect Cockpit must have checked such data and marked them as "approved".
"Sheet Preview Generation" option
Sheet previews are needed on the one hand to preview the sheet contents at the press or in the press center or on the CP2000 user interface. They are also needed because the ink zone values for printing are calculated from the sheet preview images.
If you enable this option, sheet previews are generated for each job that is edited with the "Sheetfed Printing" sequence.
You should not change the default of 50.8 dpi for the resolution of the "Sheet Viewables" and the size of the thumbnails (255 x 180 pixels).
Enable this option if you wish to calculate the area coverage in percent per ink zone for the entire sheet.
Details about the selected press (set in the "on" list box in the "Printing" option) and its ink zone parameters display in the "Press", "Type", "Ink Zones" and "Zone Size" boxes.
"Adaptation of Transformation" group
When the imaging window is defined in prepress, its position may not match that in the press. For example, the gripper margin of the press may not have been taken into account. This section lets you match the position of the imaging window on the printing plate so that ink zone calculation is correct. This means, for example, that you can correct a gripper margin that was not included by a horizontal offset of, for instance, 2.5 mm.
Proceed as follows if you do not have to match the vertical or horizontal orientation of the imaging window from prepress:
1."Orientation":
Select "none" in each case for vertical and horizontal orientation. Only then is the position of the imaging window from prepress applied and only the entered offset is added.
2."Shift":
This determines the shift compared to the prepress data in vertical and/or horizontal direction.
Proceed as follows if you have to match the vertical or horizontal orientation of the imaging window:
1."Orientation":
Select the appropriate value in each case for vertical and horizontal orientation. The defaults are:
·Horizontal orientation: Center
·Vertical orientation: Bottom
2."Shift":
This determines the shift compared to the prepress data in vertical and/or horizontal direction.
