Notes on the import
•No updating of data is possible.
Changes will not be adopted during a re-import if an employee data record was already imported from the Prinect Business Manager to the Master Data Store (MDS).
•Employees created manually in the Prinect Integration Manager are kept during an import.
•The data in the MDS will not be overwritten if the MDS already has an employee with the same "Employee ID" as in the Prinect Business Manager.
•Employees in Prinect Business Manager are assigned to a department with a "DepartmentID" ranging from 0 to 9. These departments are called, for example, "Prepress", "Printing" or "Finishing".
There is no such structure in the Prinect Integration Manager. Here, users are part of a user group. For example, "PrePressOperator", "PressOperator" or "PostPressOperator". When employee data records are imported, a user group is automatically assigned to each "DepartmentID".
Assignment is freely configurable in the Prinect Business Manager.
The following table shows you which user group in the Prinect Integration Manager is assigned by default to which "DepartmentID" from the Prinect Business Manager.
The data records are still used even if a user group is not assigned to a DepartmentID. You can set up the user group at a later period.

Procedure
Proceed as follows to import employees from the Prinect Business Manager to the Master Data Store (MDS) of the Prinect Integration Manager:
1.In the Prinect Cockpit, go to "Administration > System".
2.Click the Prinect server in the left column.
3.Scroll to "Business Manager Connector Service" (1) on the right side.
4.Click "Details" (2).
The "Configuration Status" window opens in the Internet browser.
5.Go to "Synchronization > From Business Manager > Employees" (1).
The list displays all employees set up in Prinect Business Manager. The "isSynced" column shows you whether the employee was already imported ("Yes") or not ("No").
6.Click "Sync Employees".
The employee data records are imported automatically. Import is finished as soon as the "Yes" attribute appears in the "isSynced" column.
Employee data records with "No" as the attribute were not imported into the MDS. One reason could be that the "EmployeeID" is already present in the MDS.
