Use printing material data from the current job
Basically, in a repeat job, the printing material data (size, grammage, grade) are sent from the stored machine data of the previous job to the machine. Printing material data from the MIS are ignored. This is a good approach because the paper data (printing material class) depend on the inking characteristic curves and the fan data.
The procedure just described is correct if you wish to restore the original settings. However, if changes to the printing material are necessary at short notice during operation, the data cannot be sent to the machine using this procedure. In addition, in conjunction with Anicolor machines, the relation to the inking characteristic curves may be neglected.
If you have this case at hand, you can use the global setting of sending printing material data from the current job and not from the machine data of the previous job.
1.In the Prinect Cockpit, go to "Administration > System".
2.Select the Prinect server in the left column.
3.Scroll to "Central Device Manager" in the right column.
4.Click the "Properties" button.
5.Enable "Take printing material data from current job and not from machine data".
6.Click "Apply".
The printing material data is taken from the repeat job and not from the previous job for all repeat jobs that you send to the press after enabling this option.
A yellow triangle with the message "Printing material data will be taken from the current job" points out to you that the option is enabled. You will also see a warning in the open job > "Press" step > select print operation > "Properties" button > "Machine data" tab > "Printing material" section.
