What happens without synchronization?

Different cost centers

Prinect Integration Manager/Prinect Pressroom Manager cannot assign a press to the sent operations (SFDC messages) when there are different cost centers. In other words, there is no evaluation in Analyze Point. A connected MIS cannot perform cost accounting either.

Different employees

The machine operator logged in at the Prinect Press Center/Prinect CP2000 Center sends a message to Prinect Integration Manager/Prinect Pressroom Manager, which cannot be processed by the application because the machine operator is unknown. For example, a correct evaluation of the shift progress would not be possible in Analyze Point as a result.

Different operations (SFDC messages)

In this case, the operations (SFDC messages) would be misinterpreted by the Prinect Integration Manager/Prinect Pressroom Manager. The status messages shown in Analyze Point would therefore be incorrect.

Which data is synchronized?

Cost centers

The cost centers are used for cost accounting of a job. Each press is assigned one or several cost centers. This assignment is performed when a new CDM device is set up in Prinect Integration Manager/Prinect Pressroom Manager. With an MIS connected, the job costs are calculated by way of the cost centers.

Employee

A printer logs on to the Prinect Press Center / Prinect CP2000 Center with this user data. This is the personal data which is required for the shift progress, for example.

Note: Only users of those user groups that may log in to the device are imported. This decision is made when the press is set up in Central Device Manager. Each function (operator and/or assistant and/or multiple operator) must be assigned user groups that may log in. For example: the "PressOperator" group as press operator.

User-defined operations (SFDC messages)

These are user-definable messages which are not compulsory. They are set up in Prinect Integration Manager/Prinect Pressroom Manager in "Device configuration> Operations".

Fixed messages

These are messages which are always preconfigured as standard. You can not add or delete entries.

Work Type

Using the work type, the press operator can specify where the operations (SFDC messages) are to be accounted. If, for examples, printing costs are to be accounted internally and not charged to the customer, the operator selects the "Internal" work type. By default, the "Normal" work type is selected.

You can set the work type for the entire job but also for each separate operation (SFDC message).

Complexity

By default, the complexity is not set and will be specified by or Service staff according to customer requirements. With the complexity, the machine operator can specify an additional job property. It can be selected in the "Job start" dialog.

The number of complexity steps and their respective names are configured on a customer-specific basis. In our example, there are three complexity steps "S1", "S2" and "S3".

Materials used message

With the Materials used message, the machine operator can specify the amount and type of material used by way of the material number and the amount. The button "Materials used" is located in the "Production data collection" menu and active only after job start.
