You can define shift schedules for employees and machines in this section.
Define shift schedules for employees
1.Select "Employee Shift Schedules" in the "Area Selection" list box.
2.To modify a predefined shift schedule, mark this item, e.g. "Printing Early Shift".
3.You can rename the shift schedule in the "Designation" box.
4.Change the duration of the shift by editing "Shift start" and "Shift end".
5.If needed, you can define as many as four breaks per shift.
6.You can create a new shift schedule using the "Add employee shift schedule" button.
Proceed as described in steps 2 thru 5 for the setup.
7.To delete a shift schedule, select the item in the list and then click the "Remove employee shift schedule" button.
Define shift schedules for machines
Machine shift schedules group one or more employee shift schedules to assign them to single machines. For example, you can assign an employee early shift, late shift and night shift to an offset press shift.
Prerequisite: You must set up the employee shift schedules first because the times of the machine shift schedules are oriented to the employee shift schedules.
1.Select "Machine Shift Schedules" in the "Area Selection" list box.
2.To modify a predefined shift schedule, mark this item, e.g. "Machine Early".
3.Type the name of the shift schedule into "Designation".
4.Select a shift schedule, e.g. "Printing Early Shift", in "Employee Shift Schedules". In addition to the "Designation" box, the predefined period of the employee shift schedule displays as shift start and shift end of the machine shift schedule.
5.If required, you can add other (up to a total of six) employee shift schedules by selecting them in one of the list boxes. The period of the added employee shift schedule is added to the period of the machine shift schedule.
6.You can create a new shift schedule using the "Add machine shift schedule" button.
Proceed as described in steps 2 thru 5 for the setup.
7.To delete a shift schedule, select the item in the list and then click the "Remove machine shift schedule" button.
Note: When a machine shift begins with an employee shift at 6:00, the first "normal workday" will begin at 6:00.
If a machine shift would begin at 23:00 as an early shift, a Monday early shift, for example, would start at 23:00 on the preceding Sunday, in other words on an "off day"! The machine late shift ends at 23:00 on the last "normal workday" (Friday). Saturday is defined as a "possible workday". In this case, the first Saturday shift can start at 23:00 of the preceding Friday and end, for example, at 11:00.
Set Shift to Machines
The "Normal Workdays" and "Possible workdays" buttons let you assign the currently selected shift schedule for normal or possible workdays to all machines that are enabled for scheduling.
Save settings
Click "Save" to save the settings. The setup of the "Company Calendar" tab affects the planning board after the "Presettings" window is closed.
