Marks

A separate tab for marks was created to be able to set defaults for certain marks. In this tab, you will now find the earlier settings for marks from the "Resources" tab.

Up to now, you could only specify in the Preferences which mark to use for automatically placed print control elements when creating a new job. You could not select which print control elements were to be used. You can now do this using the check box in front of the marks.

Marks in the 'Imposition' Mode

You can set default marks for "Cut Marks", "Fold Marks", "Collating Marks", "Collating Mark Extension", "Folding Crosses", "Folding Sheet Cut", "Fold Lay Marks", "Folding Sheet Label", "Page Label", "1up ID" and "1up Cover Clip Path Mark" and you can then enable them for use or disable them.

To swap a mark, click "Swap selected mark with new mark selected..." and select a new mark.

The mark type will be changed only after a restart. The new default mark displays accordingly in the graphic window.

Enable or disable print control marks in the job:

in the workflow bar in the "Marks" step (global impact on the job)

in the Folding Sheet Inspector in the "Marks" tab using the appropriate option, e.g. "Cut Marks" (affects the active folding sheet)

Furthermore, it is possible to create custom folding sheet labels. You can remove these again using the Delete button. You cannot delete any of the other default marks.
