Labelfire Primefire
In the second step, you select the substrate. If the substrate was not yet set up, enter its properties in this step and save it, giving it a name that is as descriptive as possible. You can find the data for the properties in the data sheet of the substrate.
Select Substrate
If the substrate is already set up on the server, select it from the list and click "Next".
If you wish to create a new substrate based on an existing one, select the template substrate from the list and click "Use as Template". The parameters are copied to "Create Substrate". Then enable the "Create Substrate" option and match the parameters to suit your needs.
Create Substrate
Select this option if you wish to create a new substrate. You can then define the following substrate parameters:
•Substrate Name (*)
Enter a name for the new substrate in this box. Give it a descriptive name.
•Brand
•Substrate category
(Labelfire only)
This is where you select the substrate category. The following options are available:
·SC_Paper
·SC_PP
·SC_PE
·Offset paper
·Mono-film
·Tubular laminate
•Substrate Vendor (*)
Enter the manufacturer of the substrate in this box.
•EAN Number
•Article Number
•Substrate Reflectivity
This is where you specify how the substrate reflects light. The following options are available:
·WHITE
·TRANSPARENT
·SEMI-TRANSPARENT
·REFLECTIVE
•Paper grade
Select the paper grade here. This is for information only and has no effect on how the output condition is created.
·Undefined
·1 (glossy coated)
·2 (matt coated)
·3 (web, glossy coated)
·4 (uncoated)
·5 (uncoated yellowish)
•Grain direction
(Primefire only)
Choose here whether printing is to be done on the long grain or the short grain.
•Substrate grammage in g/m2
(Primefire only)
•Web width in mm (*)
(Labelfire only)
•Sheet width in mm (*)
(Primefire only)
•Sheet length in mm (*)
(Primefire only)
•Substrate top material thickness in mm
(Labelfire only)
maximum value: 1 mm
•Substrate Carrier Thickness in mm
(Labelfire only)
Maximum value: 2 mm
Note: The thickness of the substrate top material and of the substrate carrier add up automatically to the substrate total thickness. Remember: If you change the value in one of the three boxes, the value in the other box is matched automatically.
•Substrate total thickness in mm (*)
Maximum value: 2 mm
The parameters tagged with (*) must be entered (name, vendor, grammage, total thickness and web width, or sheet width and sheet height).
If there are issues when entering the data because, for example, the substrate name already exists, the parameter concerned is highlighted by a yellow attention symbol. A green dot means that everything is OK.
