Automated
Workflow: Defining "Does not contain" expressions in the product
code of sequence template properties.
By entering the string "!:" (exclamation mark
and colon) in the product code properties of a sequence template, you can
mark a product code or a string within a product code as a "Does not
contain" string. By this you can ensure that products whose product code
does not contain these "Does not contain" expressions, or whose
product code differs from the "Does not contain" expression, are
processed by that sequence. When defining the "Does not contain" expressions,
wildcards can be used – "?" for single characters or "*"
for strings.

Jetfire 50
billing counters for large formats
For the Jetfire 50 digital printing presses, two new
billing counters are available for XL-format paper sizes:
"XLPages-Color" and "XLPages-Black". These counters only
display the number of printed XL sheets. The billing counters are displayed
in the Digital Print Terminal. If no XL sheets were printed, or if the
Jetfire press does not have the XL option, these counter readings will not be
displayed.

Changes in
version 7.33
The changes are described in the documentation
"What's new in Prinect Business Manager" and in the Product
Information (PDF). See the column "Link to documents".
Please be
sure to consider the following points:
- A backup of the Business Manager
database must be made prior to the installation process.
- Since both the Prinect system and
Business Manager will be completely stopped for the upgrade, all active
connections to the Business Manager clients and the Prinect Cockpits
will be closed. Please inform the employees accordingly.
- If you have custom scripting and/or
custom external connections, be sure to test these extensions upfront.

Displaying
multiple color profiles in the "Details" section
If multiple color profiles need to be applied in a
digital print job, for example, because different substrates are used within
a single job or because different color profiles are used for the front and
back sides, you can configure multiple color profiles accordingly in the
"Digital Printing" step under the "Color Settings" tab.
Previously, after the job was submitted, only one color profile was displayed
per print job in the "Details" section of the digital print terminal.
Now, all color profiles included in the print job are displayed.
|
|
|
|
"Profile
Customization" function for Jetfire Digital Printing Presses
In the "Digital Printing" step, the target
profile can now also be adjusted for fine-tuning on Jetfire Presses. The
"Profile Customization" dialog can be accessed via a corresponding
button in the "Target Profile" settings area – similar to the
profile customization for Versafire printing presses.

|
"Operating
system login password" Option without Domain Entry
If you enable the "Operating system login
password" option, but leave the "Domain" field blank, this
user, and therefore the Cockpit cannot automatically log in to machines
(printing presses, finishing machines, etc.) within the Prinect system
environment. This is because user synchronization within a Prinect system
environment is only possible if the users and the machines belong to the same
domain. In this case, a yellow warning triangle will be displayed next to the
"Domain" input field.

Checking
the color names and page information transferred by the MIS
If the "Use Particulars from the job's Product Description, if

Pages," and "Spot Colors" properties are read from the print
job settings created in a connected MIS (Management Information System), a
CSV (Comma Separated Values) file, or a web-to-print app and used instead of
the parameters defined in the PDF (provided these parameters are defined in
the job settings).

The "Show all used Automarks…" option can be activated under

automarks used in the job are displayed in the table in the "Marks"

default for a better overview. If required, the filter can be deactivated
again in the job so that all automarks of the Automarks Set are displayed.

|
Placeholder
for the final format frame with printed sheet or folded sheet reference
possible
The placeholders for the trim box $[LayoutTrimSizeX] and $[LayoutTrimSizeY]
are replaced by the respective size of the trimmed final format (= size of
the master page or the assembly block without bleed). The mark can either be
set with reference to the folding sheet or assembly block or with reference
to the press sheet.
Background: Some machines, such as the Fireline, require information on the
size of the trimmed format of the folding sheets to be processed. However,
the information transmitted in a data matrix mark must be placed at a
specific position on the press sheet, so that there may be no reference to
the folding sheet.
|
|
|
|
Additional
placeholders for paper width and paper height
In addition to the existing placeholder $[PaperFormat], which outputs the
paper format, there are now two new placeholders: $[PaperSizeX] and
$[PaperSizeY]. These replace the paper width and paper height (e.g. for the
data matrix mark for the Fireline).

Changes in
version 7.32
The changes are described in the documentation
"What's new in Prinect Business Manager" and in the Product
Information (PDF). See the column "Link to documents".
Please be
sure to consider the following points:
- A backup of the Business Manager
database must be made prior to the installation process.
- Since both the Prinect system and
Business Manager will be completely stopped for the upgrade, all active
connections to the Business Manager clients and the Prinect Cockpits
will be closed. Please inform the employees accordingly.
- If you have custom scripting and/or
custom external connections, be sure to test these extensions upfront.

Colors: Question marks (???) appear in the "Process Color Model"
column.
The "Process Color Model" column normally shows
which process color model is assigned to the respective color table. Correct
display of the process color model requires that an ICC profile associated
with the color table is present and accessible.
If the ICC profile file was moved to another location in the file system or
deleted after the color table was created, three question marks (???) appear
in the "Process Color Model" column.

#PACKAGING
Selecting
the layout when opening an EVD file
If an EVD file contains several layouts, these layouts are displayed when you
open it so that you can select which layout you want to import.
|
|
|
|
Adopting
the orientation of the folding sheet from the layout of the original job
In the case of ganging optimization without layout, jobs are placed on the
print sheet with the orientation 0° or 270°. Rotations of 180° or 90° are now
also possible if this is specified in the product part template or the source
job sdf.
|
|
|
|
Sheetbrake
search enabled by default
For printing forms with back printing, the Signa Station automatically
searches for free areas for the sheet brakes in the layout and writes their
position into the JDF. This allows these areas to be communicated to the
press and evaluated there (depending on the press). The press can then move
to the appropriate areas according to the current sheet brake configuration.
|
|
|
|
Canvas
size of PullLay mark reduced
The drawing area of the standard drawing mark has been reduced in width. Due
to the smaller drawing area, the mark no longer causes problems when
calculating the minimum paper size.

#PACKAGING
Show notification for
automatic placement of subject
If the automatic placement of the subject is off on at least one press sheet
of the plate template because of manual adjustments (e. g. entering different
values for "Position"), a warning icon is shown in the
"Plates" step in "Subject Settings".

Mark
Assignment of Colors with "External" Use
In the color settings of a job, after activating
the "Custom" and "Global" options, spot colors with
"External" use can be assigned a corresponding mark (X, Y, Z,
etc.). The "External" use is particularly important in the context
of a Gallus One press, as certain colors may not be used with the digital
press, but with external printing units (flexographic printing, screen
printing, offset printing, hot/cold foil stamping). Such
"externally" printed colors can be assigned color marks from
extended process color spaces (e.g., Hexachrome).

Preferences
> Suppressed Messages
The Signa Station server itself does not have a user interface and therefore
does not display any message windows by default. Message windows that appear
in the server during order processing are automatically “answered” with the
respective default setting. If you want to deviate from this standard
response, you must process the message list on a Signa Station that runs on
the same computer as the Signa Station Server and uses the identical
workspace. By clicking on the additional button “Transfer to server”, all
entries in the list are immediately transferred to the server.
