Printability comprises both the print quality of the image and the mechanical properties of the ink layer such as adhesion, drying and scratch resistance. The machine parameters have to be edited accordingly for each substrate. It can happen that not all criteria can be met equally. In this case, you have to find a compromise with regard to usage, layout, and print product finishing.

All that is applied to the material upstream of the inkjet unit or, in the case of an inkjet background white, prior to the process colors, defines the printable surface and in terms of substrate qualification belongs to the substrate.

In this step, the Assistant helps you to set pinning and corona treatment correctly on the press.

To do this, print the test charts, make corrections to the settings on the press as you think necessary and reprint the test charts. Repeat this process until you are happy with the result.

The Assistant will guide you through the following steps:

1.Print Test Chart

2.Visual check

3.Check compensation capability

4.Visual check
