The X-Rite Eye-One (strip) can be used only for ink limit and to measure calibration. It cannot be used for measuring profiles. We recommend using the scanning ruler when using the X-Rite Eye-One.
Measuring will be described below, taking the measuring of ink limit as an example.
Proceed as follows to measure the test chart:
1.Click "Start" [1] to start the measuring device.
2.Calibrate the measuring device on the white tile. To do this, place it on the white tile and press the measure button.
3.Now start measuring the data. Remember that the alignment of the test chart and the order of the strips must absolutely match the preview displayed in Prinect Color Center. If not, the results will be incorrect. This means in this case that the black strip must lie on top and the yellow below.
4.Each color strip must be measured twice, once from left to right and then vice versa.
Place the measuring device beside the first tile, keep the button on the measuring device pressed down and move the device along the color strip. Begin and end measurement always beside a color strip. Measure paper white both times for approx. half a second.
5.After the first measurement, wait until the LED flashes blue. Then measure from right to left. Both LEDs flash green if measurement was successful. If the LEDs on the measuring device are red, this means that measuring was faulty and you must repeat it for this color strip.
6.When a strip is measured correctly, the results display in the preview. Now measure all the strips of the test chart one after the other.
(7).After you finished measuring, you can export the measured data with the button [2].
8.Click "Next".
