The master data store (MDS) permits central administration of so-called master data for the entire Prinect system. Master data is information that can be used at several points in the Prinect workflow. As a rule, master data is always created in the master data store. Master data can be created manually via a Prinect Cockpit or also by means of master data import.
·Master data import from Prinect Business Mana-ger
·Importing master data from Prinect Prinance
·Writing master data into MDS from an imported job
1.Master data import from Prinect Business Mana-ger
2.Master Data Import to the Prinect Business Mana-ger
3.Importing master data from Prinect Prinance
4.Writing master data into MDS from an imported job
The following import rules apply to a master data import via an XML file and also from an imported job:
•When importing master data, the master data is ONLY created anew. The master data is NOT UPDATED.
•When master data is imported, it is always checked whether a data record already exists in the master data store. The check is performed by fixed Import rules.
·Case 1: The data record does not exist in the master data store. Consequently, there is no data record with the same Unique Keys: in this case, the data record is created in the MDS.
·Case 2: The data record already exists in the master data store. Consequently, there is a data record with the same Unique Keys: nothing happens in this case. The data record that already exists in the master data store remains unchanged.
Note: If the customer wishes to replace an existing data record, he first needs to delete this data record in the Prinect Integration Manager and reimport the data record.
