Which data from a previous job can be available for a repeat job?

Note: With a Prinect Pressroom Manager, only the "Plates (are already available)" and ""Press Presets" options are available for selection. Only with a Prinect Integration Manager are all options available for selection.

Documents

You can accept the PDF/PostScript files of the produced previous job using the "Documents" option. You then no longer need to add the PDF/PostScript files to this job manually.

Use all sequences from the job. Sequences of the same name in the job will be replaced.

Use this option to accept the sequences of the produced predecessor job. In combination with other options, e.g. "Documents", a completed Qualify sequence is also available in the repeat job. It is not necessary to run through the Qualify sequence again.

Note: Sequences in the repeat job with the same name are replaced by the sequences of the predecessor job.

<No.> plates are already available

Use this option to use the imaged plates from the predecessor job. The number indicates how many plates are detected in the predecessor job.

When enabled, this option in the repeat job indicates that plates are available. As a result, the press sheets can be submitted directly to the press without having to image the plates again.

<No.> layouts will be imported

Use this option to import the layouts of the produced predecessor job. The number indicates how many layouts from the predecessor job are detected. Page positions are assigned to the sheets as in the predecessor job if "Pages and Page Assignments" is enabled in addition to "layouts will be imported".

"Include associated sequences" option

Enable this additional option to use not only the layouts but also the related sequences of the predecessor job. You then no longer have to assign any layouts and sequences manually for the repeat job.

Sequences in the repeat job with the same name are replaced by the sequences of the predecessor job.

<No.> layouts will be replaced

Existing layouts are replaced in the repeat job with this option. The number indicates how many layouts are detected in the repeat job.

Note: Layouts are considered identical when the number of signatures and sheets are identical to the layouts from the predecessor job.

"Include associated sequences" option

Enable this additional option to use not only the layouts but also the related sequences of the predecessor job. You then no longer have to assign any layouts and sequences manually for the repeat job.

Sequences in the repeat job with the same name are replaced by the sequences of the predecessor job.

Note: The sheet names of the predecessor job are also imported to the replaced layouts. This is important during an import from an MIS system where the sheet names are first not kept in a repeat job.

Pages and Page Assignments

You can use the "Pages and Page Assignments" option to accept the PDF files produced by a Qualify sequence and the references of the job to these PDF files.

Press Presets

You can use the "Press Presets" option to accept the machine presettings from a previous job that is already produced (Prerequisites for accepting machine presettings).

The machine presettings are used even if the predecessor job no longer exists or only in an archive.
