The "Reprint Assistant" window displays when you select "Tools > Secure Reprint Assistant" in the Cockpit main menu.
This function lets you select a plate that is already output in a finished job and reprint it. The content of the plate to be output is made up of the "Layout", "Sheet", "Surface" and "Separation" data.
Prerequisite: This process is possible only if plates were already created in the job.
"Job Number" box
This shows you the job number of the selected job. Select a job by clicking "Select" and selecting the job you want in the "Find Job" window (see also Search function).
"Status" display
This displays the job status.
"Layout" list box
Select the layout that was assigned to the plate for imaging the original job.
"Sheet" list box
Select the sheet you want to output.
"Surface" list box
Select the surface you want to output.
Separation
Select the color separation of the plate you want to output.
"Sequence" list box
Select the output sequence required for imaging the plate. Only sequences that are already in the print job are listed.
"Work Type" list box
Work types are needed only if a Management Information System (MIS) is connected to the Prinect Manager. The work type is required to enter a renewed output of the plate correctly in the MIS. Usual work types are "Internal", "Normal" and "Customer".
When you set priority to "Urgent", a reprint job is imaged immediately without changing its position subsequently in the queue. Assigning a priority gives you more reliable control of the chronological order of platemaking. "Urgent" is set by default but it can be changed to another value.
Comment
You can type in a comment in this box, for example, to note down the reason for the reprint.
