"Image Setting" Option

You can set some parameters for imaging in this step.

"on" list box

This is where you set the output type for TIFF-B imaging.

The following output types are available:

AllFormSetters

This is a "dummy" default. You must select a different setting to use the FormOutput sequence.

Imagesetter connected directly to the Prinect Manager

This setting is not suited for a ROOM Proof workflow, You can select this setting if the FormOutput sequence is to be used for direct imaging (normally, this is done by an ImpositionOutput sequence).

ImageSetter on [Shooter computer]

With this setting, the normal ROOM Proof workflow with Tiff-B output to a Prinect Shooter is set up.

Tiff-BHandler1/2

If you set this option, the generated Tiff-B files are copied from the Prinect workflow to a set folder. Tiff-B output to third-party imagesetters is controlled with this option. You set the output folder for the Tiff-B files in "Destination" (see "Imposition Output to File" group).

"Plate" group

This is where you can set or view some material parameters of the selected imagesetter.

"Material name" list box

Select the material (plate, film) from this list that will be used for output. The materials that were defined in the control software of the imagesetter are presented for selection. Make sure that the material you select is really available or loaded on the device (see "Status" box).

"Dimensions" boxes

These boxes show the dimensions of the setup materials. You can enter a size manually if several sizes were defined for one type of material.

"Status" box

This box shows whether the selected material is really available on the imagesetter. "known", "available", "loaded" or "unknown" can appear in this display.

"Punch Scheme" list box

This is where you can select one of the punch parameter sets that were generated with the Engine Manager that controls the imagesetter. Only those punch schemes that are available for the selected imagesetter are displayed (F1 to max. F10). If you set "off" or if a punch scheme doesn't exist, the settings that were defined elsewhere are used. This can be at your DTP workstation, at the Prinect Signa Station or at the imagesetter.
