When a print job is processed by a sequence in the Prinect workflow, not only do you have the processed PDF documents or pages that generally run through the various sequences or are output but you also have additional data that are created or copies of the processed data that are saved. In "Destination", you define how and where these data will be saved. This means that you can save, for example, the PDF documents processed by a sequence also as a side result. After the whole Prinect workflow has finished, you can then understand how a sequence processed the job data.
You can specify the paths for the output files in the various Destination setups. In the path name box, the default setting for the output folder is "$Template". This is a variable that creates a folder with the name of the current FormOutput sequence. The folder is created the moment a new job is created and this FormOutput sequence is assigned to the new job.
"Output is" list box
This is where you define whether the data created as the "result" will be saved as a "saved result" or as a "saved side result".
The various result types differ as follows:
•saved result
The resulting data are not overwritten by subsequent sequences, i.e. these data are filed as the "saved result".
•Saved side result
As a side result, the data are also saved out of the normal processing path.
"Imposition Output to File" group
This group can only be used if "AllFormSetters" or "TiffB Handler" was selected as the output type (see Tiff-BHandler1/2).
"in Folder" box
In this box, you can enter a folder where the Tiff-B files will be copied to. Click "Browse" to open a dialog where you can select a folder in the file system or create a new folder.
"Name Rule" list box
This is where you can select a rule for naming the output files of this sequence. The use of name rules lets you, for example, use certain data of the print job in the file names. The name rules that were defined in "Administration > Resources > Rules for File and Folder Names" display in the list (see Rules for File and Folder Names).
"CopySurfacePDF" Sequence Template
The "CopySurfacePDF" sequence lets you copy single surfaces from the Prinect workflow and file them in a folder of your choice in the file system. You can select the target folder to be within the job so that the copied pages or documents remain within the job context or you can select the target folder to be outside the job context.
The surfaces are copied from the original document and pasted to a new document you created.
If the "CopySurfacePDF" sequence is connected to another sequence in an automated Prinect workflow, the subsequent sequences work on the original documents or surfaces and not on the copies.
