Points to note when CTP devices are connected

In a PagePrint sequence, you can define CTP devices as output devices that will be driven by the digital printing workflow. This requires that the CTP device is connected to the Prinect workflow in the "Central Device Manager" (CDM). This type of CTP device control is intended for system environments where, for example, a digital press and a CTP device in conjunction with an offset press are to be operated jointly with a Prinect DFE configuration. In such a configuration, the CTP control is different to the more complex control that a Prinect Prepress Manager or Prinect Integration Manager configuration offers. Configuration of the whole output and submit to imaging is done in the "Digital Printing" step if a CTP device is driven as a "digital platesetter" with a Prinect DFE (see "Digital Printing" Step).
