Main Pane

A thumbnail of the selected product or product part now displays here.

Delivery quantity

This displays the delivery quantity that was transmitted by the MIS or was set in the "Delivery quantity" step in the Planning Assistant.

Product Type

This displays the product type, if any (see also Product Types).

Product Code

This shows the product code of the job. The product code can already have been created in a web shop or on Prinect Signa Station (product part templates, segmented sheet layouts) before the job arrives at the Prinect Manager. This is where you can also create the product code or modify it. The product code is mandatory especially for generating procedure instructions. See Instructions. The product code displays or is entered as a simple string that can contain the symbol "*" as a wildcard. The product code also defines which product part template will be used by the Signa server to generate a layout.

This is where you can type in, modify or view a comment. This comment also displays in "Internal Comments" in the "Properties" section.

External Comments

This is where you can view comments transmitted by the MIS or recorded through the job notes (see also "Job Notes" View).

Note: This section only displays for the product part on the top hierarchy level and not for the product parts lower down.

"Add to Master Data" button

On principle, you can or should first save all the customers in the MDS database with the help of customer administration (see "Customers" Window).

The JDF file, however, can have a customer that is not yet saved in the MDS database. These customer data are added to the MDS database when you click the "Add to Master Data" button.

"Reload from MDS" button

You can make certain changes to the customer data, e.g. delete the contacts of a contact type. This setting only applies then to this job.

The "Reload from MDS" button lets you reload the original customer data from the MDS database at any time and view them here.

Customer Name/Customer ID/Nickname

These boxes display job data relating to the customer (see also Design of the User Interface in the Sections).

Customer Job ID and Job Name

See "Create new Job" Window for details on the parameters.

Customer data displays in this group if a customer is in the MDS database.

Portal Services

You will see "Yes" or "No" depending on whether Prinect Portal Services is installed or not.

Table with customer data

This table shows you an overview of a customer organization if you specified a customer when creating a job.

"Users" are external users. This column has items only if you installed Prinect Portal Services because only in this case can you create external users.

"Delete" button

This button lets you delete data about contacts (except for the "Customer" contact type).
