Privacy Policy | Imprint | Prinect Know How | Prinect Release Notes Actions are successive activities that represent the processes at a workplace (e.g. makeready, good production, pause, etc.). In the" Cockpit area "Device configuration, you define all work processes that occur in the production process and then assign them to the devices/machines. In the Prinect Press Center/CP2000 Center, actions are known as PDC messages and are grouped there as cost groups (action groups). PDC is the abbreviation for "Production Data Collection" There are the following messages related to actions: •Messages the respective press generates automatically, and •Messages that must be recorded manually (manual production data collection). The actions defined in Cockpit can be assigned to each device individually. You assign the actions when setting up a device in the Central Device Manager (CDM). You can only assign actions that were already defined in the device configuration. From a Prinect workflow viewpoint you need to consider that actions can also be defined on the press– e.g. Press Center/CP2000 Center – or in the MIS, for example in Prinect Business. However, these do not have to correspond to the actions created in Prinect Production. Actions and Action Groups on the Machines There are two ways of setting up actions as PDC messages on the machines: •As PDC messages automatically set up by the machine or •As PDC messages manually entered by the machine operator. These PDC messages are manually entered in the "Production data collection" section of the machine operating software or in Prinect Data Terminal. The time evaluation for a machine provides information about productive and non-productive times.
