"Data Terminal with machine direct" connection type

This connection type is intended for machines with an integrated Data Terminal that can be connected online, e.g. Stahlfolder TH/KH or Polar cutters. Like with the "Direct connection of the machine" connection type, job data are sent directly to the machine, and the machine sends back information such as job status and machine status. Further production data can be reported back manually using the integrated Data Terminal.

"Data Terminal with JDF Machine" connection type

This connection type is intended for third-party machines that have a JDF/JMF-based interface.

"Machine offline" connection type

This connection type is available for device classes "Cutter" and "Sheet-fed press". You should select this connection type if the press to be connected cannot be connected directly via JDF/JMF protocol and is also not connected via a Data Terminal but does have the option of CIP3-PPF data transfer. This applies, for example, to older HEIDELBERG presses.

If this connection type is selected, the same settings are available in the subsequent configuration step as in the case of a connection with a Data Terminal with the "Enable Output Presettings" option activated:
