If print jobs are generated with the cloud-based apps of HEIDELBERG Customer Portal, they are submitted to Prinect Cockpit and output there. The cloud apps, not Cockpit, are used to set up the parameters of these print job and to control them.
Cockpit assigns these print jobs the "Cloud" job type. The Cloud apps are used to monitor (processing progress) or to edit jobs of this type. Remember the following items:
•Click the "Open" button in the Orders app.
•As long as the order has not yet been completed ("Purchase order intended" status), e.g. if the customer approval is still missing, the ordered product can still be changed in the product app. As soon as the order has been completed, the product for this order can no longer be changed.
•If an order is in "Single job" production mode, it can be transferred to the local Prinect system in the "Orders" app where the order is processed like a standard Prinect job.
•If an order is intended for ganging (production mode "Ganging"), the "Ganging" app will automatically add it to a gang form as soon as a suitable one is available. The result is as follows:
•The status of the gang form then changes to "On Gang Form". The order remains in the "Orders" app.
•The "Ganging" app can submit the gang form to the local Prinect system where it is processed as a job.
Note: All print jobs created with the apps of HEIDELBERG Customer Portal are output with the output engines of the local Prinect Production system (proof output, digital printing output, plate output). The apps of HEIDELBERG Customer Portal prepare the jobs for output. You can also check the progress of processing. If jobs are submitted to Cockpit, further control of these jobs will occur in Cockpit.
