Starting PPF Handler

Note: For Prinect Portal operation, we recommend Chrome or Safari as browser.

You can run the PPF Handler widget in Prinect Portal as follows:

​•​The following message appears when you go to "Job Combiner" in Prinect Cockpit:

Click "Prinect Portal" to open Prinect Portal with the current Prinect user account in the default browser. If there is a widget of the "PPF Handler" type for the current user, it will be displayed in the Dashboard.

​•​As an alternative, you can also open Prinect Portal with the Cockpit command "Tools > Prinect Portal" separately and log in there.

​•​By typing the URL of the Portal login page in a browser — also on a mobile device — for example:

https://[Portal server name]/PrinectPortal/login

PPF Handler set-up in Prinect Portal

To use the PPF Handler in Prinect Portal, you need a widget of the "PPF Handler" type. You must create a new widget of this type if there is not yet any. Proceed as follows to do so:

​1.​Choose "Tools > Prinect Portal" in the main menu of Cockpit to open Prinect Portal. The login page of Prinect Portal opens in the default browser:

​2.​Choose the language you want and type your user name and your password. Use one of the users with Prinect Portal rights set up in Cockpit (set up such a user in the Cockpit user administration if necessary). The Portal opens with the Dashboard(s) set up for the user(s) logged in. You can create a new Dashboard if necessary. Click the "plus (+) sign" to do so. More details about how to set up a Dashboard can be found in the Online Help of the Prinect Portal.

​3.​Click the "Pen" icon (Edit Dashboard) if there is not yet any PPF Handler widget. A tile with a + sign displays. Click this tile. A new widget displays.

​4.​Select the "Job" item in the "Group" list box, and the "PPF Handler" item in the "Type" list box. Confirm your choice with "Save".
