All CIP4 data are written to a JDF ("Job Definition Format") file created by Prinect Production and not to a PPF file. The JDF format is a special XML format. The extension for CIP4 data is normally ".jdf". CIP4 data sets contain the following elements:
•Control data (Press and PostPress) in the Job Definition (XML) Format.
•References to bitmaps in the ".png" format for ink zone control.
