"ImpositionProof" Sequence Template

The "Imposition Proof" sequence template lets you control the imposition proofing of sheet layouts. You can use ImpositionProof to check the geometry (layout and completeness of the pages, position of the marks) of the sheet layout.

You can also check the correct output of colors at the same time with ImpositionProof, similar to PageProof, if a color imposition proof printer is connected and if Prinect Highres Renderer is available as the rendering engine in Prinect Production. Suitable color management functions are available for this purpose.

In ImpositionProof, the same input documents are used as for output to an imagesetter.

Note: The settings that are possible in each parameter group can vary depending on your proofer. As a result, some options may be shown in "gray" and are not available for selection. In such a case, the device selected doesn't support these options.

You can configure the following options in the "ImpositionProof" sequence:

"Accept approved pages only" Option

When this option is checked and the "Approve Page" option is also checked in the preceding sequences, the pages are then output with the ImpositionProof sequence only if the pages have "Approved" as their production approval status. Processing stops if you try to output pages that were not approved and an appropriate message displays.
