One or more sheet layouts are assigned automatically to a print job with this sequence. This can increase the reliability of your production process because, for example, errors resulting from the selection of unsuitable layouts can be avoided. In addition, you can also set in an "AddLayout" sequence that product parts will be created automatically for a workflow with versioning. To create and set up a new "AddLayout" sequence, go to "Administration > Resources > Templates" and mark the "AddLayout" item in "Sequence Templates". Then click "New". A new "AddLayout" sequence template opens. You can configure the following steps in an "AddLayout" sequence: •Add Product(s) and •Add Layout This step is designed for a workflow where product parts will be generated automatically for "versioning". In a versioning workflow, print jobs with text and/or images are processed, with some parts to be output in several different versions whereas others will be the same in all the versions. An example of this is a brochure where the text is different for each language but whose images are the same in all the languages. Each variant (that is, each language) is called a "product part" or "product". In a versioning workflow, each version can have its own sheet layouts. When you enable the "Add Products" step, such "versioning products" are added automatically to the jobs that will be processed with this sequence. In other words, this gives the jobs the structure that is required for the versioning workflow. After you enable the "Add Product(s)" step, you still have to define how many product parts will be added and what names they will have. To do this, click the "New" button and type a name for the first product part, e.g. "German". To create another product part, click "New" again and give the second product part a name, e.g. "English". You can create one more product part each time you click "New". When you assign this sequence to a job, the product parts you defined this way will be created in the job structure. At the same time, versioned sheet layouts will be needed for this job and you have to assign these to the job. In the next step, "Add Layout", you can add the suitably prepared layouts automatically to the jobs.
