"Assign Page Lists to Layout" Window

You can open the "Assign page lists to layout" window by selecting a layout or a sheet in the "Imposition" view (not in the assignment view) and then selecting "Assign > Page list (F7)" from the context menu. Here you can assign one or more page lists to a selected layout from page lists that already exist in the job, or you can undo an assignment that has already been made. The page lists available for selection are displayed in the left-hand area. The page lists that are assigned to the layout are located in the right-hand area.

Use the "Add" and "Remove" buttons to transfer a selection of page lists from the left to the right area or vice versa.

Please note the following when assigning:

The page placeholders in the page lists (page list positions) must match the page placeholders in the layouts (layout positions), especially if you wish to assign multiple page lists to a layout. You cannot assign two page list positions to one layout position.

If you work with versioning, you can assign a matching set of page lists to the layout per version. This means that for each version you can assign a page list position to a layout position.

"Show assigned page lists of other layouts and levels" option

Depending on whether this option is enabled or not, page lists are offered for assignment in different ways:

The option is not enabled:

All page lists that have not yet been assigned to a layout are displayed in the left-hand area of the window.

The option is enabled:

All page lists in the job are displayed in the left-hand area of the window, regardless of whether they have already been assigned to a layout or not.
