Mode "Align parts"

"Align parts"

 

With this mode, you can align a 1up to another reference 1up.

1.Click the "Align parts" button. The edit bar shown below appears:

2.Make the desired alignment settings (see the table below) in the edit bar.

3.Click the 1up you want to move to the new position. It will turn yellow.

4.Move the mouse pointer over the reference 1up. A preview of the new position is displayed in blue.

5.Click the reference 1up to confirm the position and to move the 1up accordingly.

Displacement can be set with the following controls:

Controls in the Mode "Align parts"

Dx

This is where you define the horizontal distance by which you want to move the active element in relation to the reference element.

Negative values align to the left on the X axis.

You can enter values here only if you activated the button "Align horizontal" (see below) beforehand.

"Align horizontal"

Click this button if you want to move the active 1up in horizontal direction.

If applicable, specify a gap value in "Dx".

Dy

This is where you define the vertical distance by which you want to move the active ele­ment in relation to the reference element.

Negative values align to the bottom on the Y axis.

You can enter values here only if you activated the button "Align vertical" (see below) beforehand.

"Align vertical"

Click this button if you want to move the active 1up in vertical direction.

If applicable, specify a gap value in "Dy".

Align as:

To select the following buttons, first select several objects in the Mode "Select" and click the button "Align Parts" only then. At least one of the buttons "Align horizontal" and "Align vertical" must be enabled. Then click the canvas. All 1ups turn yellow and can be aligned simultaneously:

"Align as group"

Simultaneously aligns several active objects as a group. Their relative position to each other remains constant.

"Align as object"

Several active objects are aligned independently of each other. The relative position of the objects changes.

"Selection"

Alignment is performed by way of the entire reference 1up.

"Single Object"

You do not choose an entire 1up as reference but only a single line to which the active 1up is to be aligned.
