Find

Opens the Search box. The search function lets you filter single users fast. All the users whose names have the string you entered display immediately.

Edit

Opens the "User Details" dialog. See Edit users.

The button is active only if you have permission to edit the user data.

Delete

Opens the "Delete User" dialog. To delete the user, click "OK", otherwise "Cancel" or the X button in the top right corner.

The button is active only if you have permission to delete.

Create Users

Click the "New User" button to open the "New User" dialog for creating a new user account. Enter your data in the "User Name", "Password" and "Confirm Password" boxes and confirm with "OK".

Note: The "New User" button is active only for users with administrator permissions.

Edit users

In the "User Settings" dialog, you can edit the user data in the "General", "Person", "Address", "Com­munication" and "Groups" tabs. Click "Apply" to apply your changes. To cancel editing without saving the changes, click "Cancel" or use the X button in the top right corner.

"General" tab

This is where you can change the user name and the password. The "Enabled" option is enabled by default, enabling the user to use Prinect Shooter 2. Disable this option if you do not want the user to use Prinect Shooter 2. In the "Details" box, you can enter information about this user account, for example, to point out the activities of this user account.

"Person" tab

You can enter data about the person in the following boxes: "Employee ID", "Title", "First Name", "Family Name", "Suffix", "Additional Name", "Function" and "Nickname".

This personal data is important for the Data Terminal. A user cannot log in to the Data Terminal with­out employee ID, first name and family name.

"Address" tab

You can enter address details into the following boxes: "Street", "PO Box", "Postal Code", "City", "Region", "Country Code", "Country" and "Extended Address".

"Communication" tab

This is where you enter data about the communication channels through which the user can be reached. Select the type of data ("Phone", "E-mail", "Fax", "Web Address" or "Phone (mobile)" from the drop-down menu and enter the data in the related text box.

Click "Add field" if you want to add more communication data.

Click the recycle bin icon to delete communication data.

"Groups" tab

The "Available Groups" column displays the permission groups that you can assign to the user. The "Assigned Groups" column lists the groups to which the user is already assigned.

To assign a permission group to the user, select the permission group in the "Available Groups" col­umn and click the ">" symbol in the middle column.

To revoke the permissions of a group for the user, select the permission group in the "Assigned Groups" column and click the "<" symbol in the middle column.

Abbreviations:

"access": All permissions

"restr. access (1)": All permissions, but deletion of image jobs is not possible.

"restr. access (2)": All permissions, but the "Select by IP" option is dimmed. This means that you cannot select the Prinect Shooter computer by the IP number when you select the server.

"restr. access (3)": All permissions for one's own user account.

"access (4)": All permissions, but passwords of other users can only be changed if the original password is known.

"read only": Read-only permissions
