Sheet name
This displays the name of the press sheet that is selected in the Browser window or in the graphic view. A name change is also shown in the product part (Browser window). The system checks whether the job name is unique. A message displays if a name was assigned twice. A unique name is important for finishing, e.g. for tiled sheets.
Note: A change in the sheet name is also reflected in the internal sheet name, e.g. in the .cip file for finishing (0001#Sheet 1 #A__Name).
Sheet Description
The description is displayed and can be edited here, provided the sheet was given an additional description in MIS or a sheet description was specified in "Properties" in Cockpit. In this way, you can, for example when customizing variants, define the 'new' assembly as new "Sheet Description" for future use in the Prinect system, or use a "Press Sheet Description" specified by MIS there as the default for layout definition or layout editing.
The size of the plate is shown. You can also view these data in the "Plates" step.
Automatic Color Mapping / User-defined Color Mapping
It is also possible to select that defined colors will be assigned to the marks color placeholders automatically or as defined by the user. See also User-defined Color Mapping.
The entire subject (not the single folding sheet) is centered automatically either horizontally, vertically or in both directions on the press sheet.
Number of colors/separations that will be printed on the press sheet. This information only displays if data pages are assigned to the job/product part.
Display of the plate template name that was entered in the "Plates" step.
This shows the paper that was selected in the "Plates" step and that you can change for the current job.
These boxes display the paper width / paper height that you can change if required.
The offset in this case is different to the center offset of the folding scheme. In this case, it is the offset of the paper from the middle of the press sheet (horizontal) (see also X offset in the Plate Template Editor).
Normally, the value is '0', and the paper lies at the middle of the press sheet along the horizontal axis. You can enter a horizontal offset in this box if the normal case is not correct for printing reasons. Positive values shift to the right, negative values to the left. The reverse side is matched automatically.
Display and, if necessary, correction of the distance of the paper from the leading edge of the plate. Positive values move the paper away from the plate edge, i.e. to the top, negative values move the paper down.
Banner Count (for 'Digital Web Press' Only)
Enter how often the various banners will be repeated on the positions (can also be set in the "Plates" step).
Folding Sheet/Assembly Block/Cutting Die List
All the folding sheets/assembly blocks/cutting dies on the press sheet are listed. Details about a sheet/block/die are enabled when you select the sheet/block/die.
Note: You can edit the "Position X/Y", "Orientation" and "Cut Blocks" parameters here but also in the "Optimization" step.
This displays the folding sheet/assembly block/cutting die that is selected in the list.
This shows the position of the selected folding sheet/assembly block on the press sheet. The bottom left corner of the paper is the zero point for both directions.
You can rotate the folding sheet/assembly block/cutting die with this option.
Cut Blocks
For the JDF or CIP3 workflow, you can decide whether to include cut block data in finishing or not. Cut block data are transmitted when the option is enabled (default).
Version Preallocated for Versioned Output (Versioning Only)
This section is active only if a number greater than '1' is entered in the "Job" step > "Versions", enabling as a result the new versioning (for more details, see also Working with Versions).
Assign Versions and Include/Exclude Layers (for Folding Sheets)
You can now mark a folding sheet either in the folding sheet list or in the graphic window and assign it a different version by toggling "Active Version".
An easier way to do this is by clicking the button after "Active Version". The "Assign Versions..." Editor window opens where you can also assign versions you want to the folding sheets. The advantage of the Editor window is that it lets you select several folding sheets at a time, making it possible to change the assignment for several folding sheets in a single step.
In addition, you can include/exclude layers in the folding sheets. The setting displays at once in the graphic window.
Apply to press sheets of same kind
Click this button if you wish to apply all the inputs/changes you made in the "Press Sheet" tab to all other press sheets of the same type in the product part.
The function is available only in the "Imposition" and "Automatic Imposition" work modes.
