What is Business Intelligence?
Business Intelligence lets you draw key metrics from existing company data. Reports that increase your effectiveness and supply you with current production or business data at any time can be generated in a quite simple manner. This helps you understand your company in depth, enabling you to derive strategic measures as a consequence.
Business Intelligence answers important questions you ask in a simple and fast way like:
•Which customer is profitable?
•Do I have a healthy increase in sales?
•Which machine is the most profitable?
•How high is my production volume?
•Are my calculated costs in line with the real ones?
•Which company site is the most profitable?
•...

Microsoft Power BI is a collection of software services, apps and connectors that make it possible for you to connect existing data sources.
In other words, connect hundreds of data sources, simplify data preparation and optimize ad-hoc analyses. Generate and publish attractive reports for company-wide use on the web or on mobile equipment. Each user can create personalized dashboards with a unique 360° view of the business. The dashboards can be scaled throughout the company and provide integrated monitoring and security.
To use Prinect Smart BI you need a Power BI Pro license.
Prinect Smart BI is an app developed by Heidelberg that is based on Microsoft Power BI. This app lets you access and visualize your production data (data from your machines) and business data (data from your Prinect Business Manager).
These data or key figures can be compiled to individual reports in Power BI. In addition to that, we provide you with a series of preconfigured reports.
What are "Business" and "Production"?
Prinect Smart BI is available as "Business" and "Production" variants. These can be purchased separately or jointly.
1.Business
You can visualize all of your business data in the "Business" variant. The data come from your Management Information System, the Prinect Business Manager. As a result, you have answers to questions like: Which customer is profitable? Are my calculated costs in line with the real ones? etc.
2.Production
You can visualize all of your production data in the "Production" variant. The data come from your connected machines. As a result, you have answers to questions like: How great was my waste rate last year? How high is my production volume? etc.
How do the data get to Power BI?
Following the setup by the Heidelberg Service team, your business and production data are uploaded once a day to the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Microsoft Power BI accesses these data and Prinect Smart BI visualizes them. Using the mobile Power BI version, you can access your data from any end device.
