Duplicate PPF file

When a PPF import operation has been completed successfully and the PPF file is in the "OK" status, the following changes can be made:

Changes to the color values

Changes to the color marks

Changes to the printing order

Deleting separations.

The following changes are not possible in this status:

Deleting the PPF files,

Changes to the job number,

Changes to the job name,

Changes to the sheet name,

Changes to the version.

To make these changes anyway, the PPF files concerned can be duplicated: These changes can be made to the copied PPF jobs.

To duplicate a PPF job, click it in the PPF list. The sheet preview opens:

processed

Click "Duplicate" (1). Confirm any alert messages that may appear.

The current PPF job is now being copied. You can edit this copy.

You can make the following changes to the duplicated PPF job:

Changing job name or sheet name (1), (2),

Swap front and back sides (3)

You can select from the following options for further processing:

The print operation is to be deleted and replaced with the changed operation. The changes apply to the swapping of front and back sides.

-> In this case, you leave the job number unchanged and swap front and back sides (3). Start editing by clicking "Process" (4).

IconNoteNote: You can also swap front and back sides with the "Combine" function. See Swap the front and back sides with the "Combine" function.

The changed copy of the job is to be kept as a new job and as basis for creating a new print job or a print operation. The original job and the pertaining print operation are also to be kept.

-> In this case, you change the job number and restart processing with "Process" (8). The duplicated job is processed by the PPF import process and the new operation is sent to Press Center.

The duplicated job is to be edited and the original job is not to be deleted but is to serve as basis for another modified print operation for the same job.

-> In this case, you leave the job number unchanged and change the sheet name in addition to parameters (4) to (7). When you click "Process" (8) now, a new print operation with the changed parameters is generated and submitted to Press Center. The job remains in the PPF list of the PPF Handler widget and a new item is added to the Operations list.
