The "Product" step shows you all operations to be applied to the whole product. This includes, for example, binding with a saddlestitcher. In addition, you can view a list with the products of a job. You have several products, for example, in jobs with versioning.
You can toggle between the two modes with the following buttons:
| Product list Click this button to show the product structure. If the job contains end products and product parts, the structure of product parts such as cover and body are displayed below the final product, a brochure, for example. If the final product is a multi-lingual brochure, for example, each language version represents a product part. |
| Operations list The Operations list contains all the operations intended for processing the end product. |
"Planning" button
The Planning assistant appears. This is where you can schedule or reschedule the entire job production process. See Planning Assistant.
If you select an entry in the list of operations and click the "Properties" button, the properties of the relevant operation are displayed in the "Properties" tab.
This tab contains the quantity and the (quantity) allowance intended for the selected operation.
Prerequisite: The intended finishing machine must be set up in the Central Device Manager (CDM) and the job must have been started if the default data for an operation is to be displayed. See "Central Device Manager" section.
The parameters displayed let you check whether default data are available or not. If the check at this point shows that changes are required, you may have to make such changes in Prinect Signa Station
Default data for saddlestitchers
Default data for saddlestitchers are displayed for the selected operation.
The example shows the following default data:
•Shape and number of staples (1)
•Final size of the product (2)
•Untrimmed size of the product (3)
•Closed size (4)
•Folded sheets in the order of the feeder (5)
Default data for folder-gluers
Default data for folder-gluers are displayed for the selected operation.
The example shows the following default data:
•Article number (1)
•Carton type with its dimensions (2)
•Preview of the folding carton and its dimensions (3).
