Command key + Shift key + space bar Switch from the current to the previous planning step (backward). Exiting the Planning Assistant Click "Finish" to conclude planning. Definition of terms Planning steps are the planned individual process steps that are carried out with the Planning Assistant. For jobs without versioning, the delivery quantity is equivalent to the print run quantity. For versioned jobs, the delivery quantity is the quantity produced for each version. In this case, the total delivery quantity or job quantity is the sum total of the delivery quantities of all versions. In the Planning Assistant, quantities (amounts) are calculated in each planning step. This refers to the quantities of products produced by the respective work step. Depending on the current planning step, a quantity can be the number of press sheets ("Sheet-fed Printing" step) or the number of folding sheets ("Sheet finishing" step). Notes on operation •Case 1: Editing a planned job: In this case, planning was done either in the MIS or in the Cockpit job settings. When you call up the Planning Assistant in the open job, it will be populated with the planning data for the job. You can modify the existing planning data by, for example, entering a different delivery quantity or selecting a different machine. All of the planning will be matched to the changes you made. •Case 2: Planning a new job created in Prinect Cockpit: In this case, you can use the Planning Assistant to plan the amounts, allowances, operations and the process network. Based on the layout defaults, the Planning Assistant automatically suggests suitable machines to you, including their setup and production times and the operations need for production. The amounts and allowances are calculated automatically and suggested based on the delivery quantity you entered and on the suggested machines. In this way, you can generate and use consistent planning data. The Planning Assistant guides you through the planning of the production run in the planning steps (the planning steps display above the planning details): •Delivery •Binding, gluing folding cartons •Print •Platemaking Planning data are calculated "backwards", ranging from the finished product up to platemaking. You can edit a completed plan during job processing right up to just before printing. However, it is not possible to reschedule operations of a process currently running (for example folding). You can edit planning specifically for each planning step or operation. All the parameters that are related to a planning change can be matched automatically.
