"Associative measure tool" |
You can measure the lengths and distances of various objects with the "Single Measure Tool" and ""Associative measure tool"" modes. But these are not added to the drawing like in the Mode "Dimensions".
To toggle between the modes, keep the mouse button pressed over the button currently displayed in the toolbar. Then release the mouse button when the pointer is on the desired button.

"Single Measure Tool" |
Use this mode to check the dimension of single objects, like the length of a single line, the radius of a fillet, the radii of circles and arcs, etc. Proceed as with the Single-object dimension.

"Associative measure tool" |
This mode is useful to check the offset of a line and a number of lines parallel to it: Select the first line once only and then drag the mouse pointer on each line that is parallel to the first one consecutively. You can also use the mode to measure the angle between two lines or two intersecting lines. See also Multi-line dimension.
