See Angle Control Function "Select Quadrant".

Dx

This is the horizontal distance between the beginning and end points of a line in X direction. The Dx value is derived from the X coordinate value of the end point of the line minus the X coordinate value of the beginning point of the line.

When moving a line, the horizontal distance between the original and the moved line is specified here.

Dy

This is the vertical distance between the beginning and end points of a line in Y direction. The value is derived from the Y coordinate value of the end point of the line minus the Y coordinate value of the beginning point of the line.

When moving a line, the vertical distance between the original and the moved line is specified here.

Drawing a Regular Line

1.Click the "Line" button in the toolbar of the "1up" tab.

2.Draw the beginning point of the line by clicking the left mouse button on the canvas.

3.There are two possibilities to finish the line:

·Move the mouse to the desired location of the end point and click on it. The system will connect the two points. Press the "Esc" button to quit the drawing mode.

You can add more corner points and this way create a compound object.

·Enter the desired length, the angle and the values in the context-sensitive edit bar and press "Enter". The program will create the line using the specified attributes, regardless of the current position of the mouse pointer.

4.Press the "Esc" button to quit the drawing mode.

Drawing a connected polygon

1.Draw a standard line.

2.Click to add more corner points.
Double clicking the current end point will toggle between the "New Rules Drawing" and "Draw by edges" modes.

3.Click the starting point of the first line to close the shape and to quit the mode.
You can also quit the mode by pressing the "Esc" key. In this case, the shape will not be closed.

General notes

To cancel the current drawing mode, you can right-click anywhere on the canvas and select "Cancel Mode" from the context menu.

You can edit existing lines and shapes as follows:

·Go to the Selection Mode.

"Select":

·Click one corner point and, with the mouse button pressed, drag it to the new position. The position of all other corner points will remain unchanged.

·Click the line and move it to the new position. For connected shapes, this will also change adjoining lines.

Typing a value in one of the boxes "L", "Angle", "Dx" or "Dy" while drawing a line will restrict the preview so that you can only draw lines complying with this value. Proceed as follows if you want to draw a horizontal line, for example:

·Set the starting point.

·Type the value of "180" for "Angle".

·Confirm with "Enter". This fixes the angle of the line. You can determine only the length of the line with the mouse.
To clear the restrictions, delete the value in the box and confirm with "Enter".

·Click the desired end point.
