When the Prinect Shooter software is installed successfully, you will find the Prinect Workflow item plus related elements in the Windows Start menu. For the Prinect License Manager, you will find "HEIDELBERG Prinect Licensing" (optional). You will also find the "Prinect Shooter2 Printmanager" icon on the Windows Desktop. In this way, you can choose whether you wish to launch the Printmanager from the Start menu or by double-clicking the desktop icon.
The HEIDELBERG Prinect Workflow Start menu contains the elements listed below:
•Save Configuration
Saves the current configuration.
•Restore Configuration
Restores a saved configuration.
•Prinect Shooter2 Printmanager
You start the Printmanager with this menu item. This lets you define all your system configuration settings and monitor job processing. To be able to start the Printmanager, the Prinect Shooter service must be started.
•Speedway Engine Manager
This lets you start the Speedway Engine Manager.
The Prinect License Manager is installed (optionally) in addition to the Prinect Shooter software.
The HEIDELBERG Prinect Licensing Start menu contains the following elements:
•Operation
Use this to display the User's Guide of the License Manager (PDF). To display the manual, a software for displaying the PDF format must be installed (e.g. Adobe Reader).
•License Manager
This starts the License Manager. The License Manager lets you manage the licensing of Prinect Shooter (and any other HEIDELBERG Prinect products).
•Remote service
With Remote Service, HEIDELBERG provides a remote tool that can be used for support of this product. Contact your local HEIDELBERG agent if you need support.
On the Prinect Shooter PC, select "HEIDELBERG Prinect Workflow > Prinect Shooter2 Printmanager" in the Windows Start menu.
The Prinect Shooter service only runs locally on the Prinect Shooter PC because the Engine Manager communicates directly with the output device via the interface card. You can "remote control" this Prinect Shooter from another computer on which a Prinect Shooter system is also installed and that can be reached in the network. To do this, select this computer in the Printmanager in "Administration > Server Selection" and log in to this server. See also Connection to a different Prinect Shooter server.
You must enter a user name and a password after the user interface starts. The default passwords are:

In a Prinect Manager system configuration, you can also log in to Prinect Shooter as an MDS user (a user set up in the Master Data Store). More details about MDS user management can be found in the Online Help of the Prinect Manager.
Prerequisite: You must have first set up a connection to the Master Data Store. See MDS.
