"CAD" Step

Note: The "CAD" step displays only if the user logged in has packaging permissions and if an executable Package Designer is installed on the Prinect server and connected to the Pri­nect software.

Column set

This list box allows you to create and save your own sets of columns for different uses or to select the set you want from existing ones (see also Linear view).

Note: In this step the contents of the columns show the results of the "CAD request" and cannot be edited. Changes are possible only in the "Start CAD Request" window (see also "Start CAD Request" Window).

Columns available in the "CAD" step

Column

Function

CAD Type

This displays the type of CAD (shape or layout).

Box Number

This displays the box number (see also Construction Code).

Status

The current processing status is displayed here. Double-click a column to view more details about that column.

The following state can appear:

Working

The action is not yet finished.

Completed

The action is finished.

Aborted

The action was canceled.

Waiting

No processing is presently running. The system is waiting for an action to continue processing.

Warning

The action was finished or canceled with a warning.

Box Inner Dimensions

This shows the inner dimensions of the box.

Box Outer Dimensions

This shows the outer dimensions of the box.

Folded Dimensions

This shows the folded dimensions. These are the dimensions of the carton after it was sealed in the folder-gluer.

Printing Material Brand

This displays the printing material brand.

Printing Material Article Number

This displays the article number of the printing material.

Printing material quality

This displays the printing material quality.

Printing Material Weight

This displays the weight of the printing material.

Printing Material Thick­ness

This displays the thickness of the printing material.

Article Number

This displays the article number.

Shape Name

This displays the shape name.

Shape ID

This displays the shape ID.

Printing Material Dimensions

This shows the dimensions of the printing material. This is the size of the press sheet (size of the layout plus margins and gripper).

Layout Dimensions

This shows the dimensions of the layout. This is the size of the layout, mea­sured from each outer cut edge.

Waste

This shows the waste in percent. It is calculated from the area of the 1ups, minus the sheet size (printing material dimensions).

Tool ID

This displays the tool ID.

Number of 1Ups

This shows the number of 1ups.

Cut Line Length

This displays the length of the cut line. This refers to the overall length of all cutters on the layout.

Note: This value displays only with Layout as the CAD type and not for the single 1ups.

Crease length

This displays the length of the crease line.

Comment

Displays comments entered in the "Comment" box (see also "Comment" in Context-sensitive Menu for "Documents").

DesignCreation

This column displays the files created by Package Designer. You can open and view these files in the relevant application (e.g. Acrobat Reader, Win­dows Paint, Package Designer).

Start CAD Request

Click this button to open the "Start CAD Request" window (see "Start CAD Request" Window).

Apply layout

Click this button to open the "Apply layout" window (see 'Apply layout' Window).

Close Job

Click the "Close Job" button to close the job and return to "Jobs" with the list of jobs or job groups.
