Column set
This list box allows you to create and save your own sets of columns for different uses or to select the set you want from existing ones. You will find a description of how to customize, create or delete column sets in Define a custom column set , Change the order of columns in a column set and Delete a column set.
Columns available in the "Documents" step

Displays the version names. |
Status |
Displays the document processing status. You have the following options in this case: •Processing
The progress in the processing of the document is displayed by a progress bar and a percentage. •Warning
A warning appears if there was a problem when processing the document but processing still continued. Look up the "History" section in this case or double-click the "Status" to view details. •Aborted
Processing of the document aborted. The "History" section will provide you with more details or double-click the "Status" to view details. •Needs Attention
Interaction by the operator is necessary for processing to continue. •Completed
Processing of the document is completed without an error. |
Comment |
Displays comments entered in the "Comment" box (see also "Comment" in Context-sensitive Menu for "Documents"). Note: This is valid for all element view modes! |
Dynamic Columns |

Submit |
Click this button to display the "Submit Elements" window, see also the "Submit" window. This button is only enabled if at least one document is selected. Note: "Submit" is also possible using drag-and-drop. You have the following options in this case: •You can drag-and-drop the document to the relevant sequence in "Submit". •You can drag-and-drop the document to a "step". Only sequences to which you can drag-and-drop the document are available in this step. |
Close Job |
Click the "Close Job" button to close the job and return to "Jobs" with the list of jobs or job groups. |
Context-sensitive Menu for "Documents"
Right-click in the window of the "Documents" step to display a context-sensitive menu.
Note: Some of the functions in the context-sensitive menu are identical to the buttons in the window in the "Documents" step.

Properties |
The properties of the document are displayed when you select the "Properties" function (shortcut Ctrl + I). The dynamic window is split vertically when you select this function. On the right, you can switch between the document properties and the document history by clicking the relevant tab (see also Properties of Documents and "History" Section). |
Paste |
The files you copied beforehand are pasted to the open job when you select "Paste" (shortcut Ctrl + V). |
Copy |
The information you need in the selected files is copied to the clipboard when you select "Copy" (shortcut Ctrl + C). |
Delete |
Select "Delete" (shortcut Ctrl + Del) to delete the selected files following confirmation of this action. |
Comment |
You can enter a comment for the selected document. This comment displays immediately afterwards in the comment column. |
Expand All |
This function displays all lower levels. |
Collapse All |
This function hides all lower levels. |
The properties of the documents are shown in this window. You can choose between the "Properties" tab and the "History" tab.
The properties can display as part of the window and in their own separate window. You can switch between these two displays using the "Detach from main window" and "Attach to main window" buttons.

The "Properties" tab displays details about the properties of the selected documents. When you double-click a report, this opens as a PDF.
History of the document revisions
This displays the history of the document revisions (if available) including the document name and date.
You can also view history details about the selected documents in the "History" tab. History details are opened when you double-click a document.

Close |
Click this button to close the properties of the document and display the dynamic window again in its full size. If you made changes that were not saved, you are prompted to save or discard them before closing the window. |
The "Submit" window lets you submit elements you selected beforehand to one of the next sequences that you can select in the window.
Note: Non-executable sequences are hidden.
The sequences that you can see can have different font styles:
•Standard
The sequence has not yet been used if the sequence name has a standard display.
•Italic
Sequences that will be copied and used for another part of the job are shown in italics.
•Bold
Scheduled sequences that were used are shown in bold type.
This displays the names of the sequences to which the job can be submitted.
Suppress nonsupported sequences
Sequences that are not suited to be submitted or are not supported are hidden if this function is checked.
Priority
In the list box, select the priority (Urgent, High, Normal or Low) the process will have.
Version
In the list box, select which version (e.g. German or English) the elements will be assigned to during versioning.
Note: You can only use this function on jobs with versioning and with enabled single or double pages in certain proof sequences.
Print Amount
This function lets you specify a different amount to the one scheduled. This setting is taken into account when the job is submitted to the relevant output sequence.
Note: This function is only available for digital printing.
Positions
This sets the page positions that you wish to submit.
Example:
•2,5-8
Page 2 and pages 5 thru 8 will be submitted.
Details
You can open details by clicking the triangle.
•Work Type
Select an entry code from the list box to indicate whether it is a normal run (Normal), one due to operational reasons (Internal) or a customer-related one (Customer).
•Comment
You can type in a comment in this box, for example, explaining the reason for charging the costs.
Scheduling
You can open details by clicking the triangle.
This is where you can set up a schedule for submitting selected pages to the sequence you selected.
•Do Not Start Before
Nothing is submitted before the period (date/time) you entered. When the period is reached, the pages are submitted automatically to the sequence and the sequence is processed.
•Planned Start
This input affects sorting in the queue. Jobs whose planned start is earlier than others are processed first.
Otherwise, no action is triggered, i.e. no pages are submitted and no sequence is processed.
•Latest Completion
This input affects sorting in the queue. Jobs whose latest completion is earlier than other jobs are processed first.
Otherwise, no action is triggered, i.e. no pages are submitted and no sequence is revised.
The following is valid for all periods:
•Periods in the future are black. Periods in the past are red.
•A period you entered displays in the layout view, in the column with the sequence to which the period refers.
Note: If there are several periods, "Do Not Start Before" has priority over the other two items.
