Press Step
The "Press" step allows you to check presetting data like ink profile and ink consumption and to submit them to the press.

Various view modes are available for you to optimize your workflows.
These are:

Press Sheet List You go to the list of press sheets by clicking the press icon. In contrast to the list of operations, you view all the press sheets in this list. A press sheet can consist of several operations (e.g. operations for front and back). |

Operations list The operations list shows all print operations of the selected job. |
In addition, you can choose between a list view and a thumbnail view for the page and page list view.

Functions in the "Press" step

"Job Memory Card" button |
Use this to write the presetting data for the press to a connected USB mass storage device or a job memory card. Proceed as described in: •Sending Presetting Data via USB Mass Storage Device to the Press |
"Submit" button |
Use "Submit (or "F12") to submit the ready plates to a press output sequence. This calculates the presetting data for the press and sends them to the machine. See "Submit" window. |
"Submit to" context menu item |
This function is available in the press sheet view. In contrast to "Submit", you can actuate several sequences within one sequence type using it. Example: You are producing a booklet with a cover (for a SM102) and a body (for an XL105). Both print operations are submitted to their "SheetfedPrinting" sequence with "Submit to" after you selected them. |
"Paper Availability" context menu item |
Use this to manually set paper availability. This information affects the checkpoints in the Scheduler. |
"Planning" button |
Use this to open the Planning Assistant. This is where you can reschedule an entire job. For details, see Planning Assistant |
"Properties" button |

"Close Job" button |
Use this to close the job view of the selected job. This has no impact on the status or settings in the job. |
Check Properties of Press Sheets
Before ok-for-press, it is often necessary to check details like ink consumption, area coverage values and machine data. In the "Press" step, you can view operation-related or press sheet-related properties.
Proceed as follows to view the properties of the press sheets:
1.Click "Properties" (1).
2.Select a press sheet or operation whose details you want to check (2).
You will then find several tabs for checking the print data on the right (3). You have the option of viewing the properties in a separate window (4).
