Privacy Policy | Imprint | Prinect Know How | Prinect Release Notes Import the XML export file in the Prinect CP2000 Center The import process differs depending on the version of the Prinect CP2000 Center software. There are two different cases: •Case A: Prinect CP2000 Center with import function, version v41 and later. The XML export file "importInCP2000.xml" must be imported. •Case B: Older versions of the Prinect CP2000 Center software (older than v41) do not have the function to import XML export files. For these versions, the files "pdaconfig.xml" and "staff.xml" have to be copied into an import directory manually. Case A: The CP2000 Center software has an import function for device data 1.Log in to the CP2000 Center of the press on which you want to import the PDC configuration. 2.Go to "Service > Prinect configuration > PDC configuration > Transfer". A detailed description can be found in the CP2000 Center operating instructions. 3.Click the "Data storage configuration" button. 4.Enter the UNC path of the transfer directory with the name of the XML file (1) in the "URL" input field. The name of the XML file to be imported is always "importInCP2000.xml". In the example, this file is accessible in the UNC path: "\\KIE-ESXPN1005\PTConfig\Connector\CP2000Configuration\4202\importInCP2000.xml" which is accessible on the network. KIE-ESXPN1005 is the name of the Prinect server. 5.If necessary, enter the user name and password for access to the data storage unit. You can find a detailed description in the Prinect CP2000 Center operating manual. 6.Confirm the entry. The view is closed and the "Configuration of production data collection/Transfer" view opens. •The transfer directory is accepted, and the button "Import" turns active (2). 7.Click the "Import" button (2). The import is started and it takes a few seconds for the process to complete. No message is displayed to confirm that the import was successful. If the import fails, this is indicated by a yellow service symbol. Case B: The CP2000 Center software does not have an import function for device data As no import function is available in this case, the XML export file "importInCP2000.xml" cannot be used for synchronization. When a press is created using the Device Assistant in the Cockpit, two further XML files are generated in addition to the "importInCP2000.xml" file. These are also present in the file system of the IPC (the Prinect CP2000 computer). These are the files: •pdaconfig.xml •staff.xml These files are also stored in the configuration export directory on the Prinect server. This means that these files can be accessed from the CP2000 Center on the network using the following UNC path, for example: "\\KIE-ESXPN1055\PTConfig\Connector\4202" (KIE-ESXPN1055 is the computer name of the Prinect server). These two files have to be copied manually in the file system into the directory "C:\CP2000Ap\bin" on the IPC (Prinect CP2000 computer). This overwrites any existing files. Finally, restart the Prinect CP2000 Center.
