Privacy Policy | Imprint | Prinect Know How | Prinect Release Notes In this context, "job changes" refers to changes to jobs that have been made in a management information system (MIS) connected upstream. Prinect Production automatically recognizes changes to MIS jobs. To do this, the already registered job data are compared with the current, possibly changed job data. Details of job changes (including information in the comment field) are displayed in the right-hand part of the "job changes" section, similar to the "History" parameter area. This window area can be detached as a separate window. Column Display Assigned to This shows which processing procedure the respective job change is assigned to. Multiple assignments are possible. For example, a change to the "planned time" type of job could affect the layout, the printing press and the finishing. Type The term "type" refers to the type of assignment of the job change to a processing process, e.g. machine assignment, planned time, layout, page number, paper, comment, etc. Status The following statuses can be assigned to the entered job changes: •Received This status displays only with new changes in the order that have to be manually accepted or rejected. •Accepted, with message Every order change accepted is assigned this status. Order changes that are automatically accepted (scheduling times and quantity) are automatically given this status. •Rejected, with message Every order change that is rejected receives this status. Sender A "Sender" is the person who made the job change in the MIS. Request Received The date and time of the job change request are displayed here. Author An "Editor" is the user who is logged in to the Cockpit and is processing the job change in the cockpit. Note: If the entry "System" is displayed here as the processor, this means that the change request was automatically accepted or rejected. Edited on The date and time of the last editing. Comment A processing comment can be entered automatically by the system or manually by an operator. To enter a comment manually, double-click on the request. A comment window will then open. Confirm by clicking on "Read". Read Here you can check whether the information on the job change has been read. Hide settled requests By enabling this option, you can hide requests that have already been processed, i.e. marked as "Read", so that only requests that have not yet been processed are displayed. Button bar at bottom Button Function Read The selected request(s) for job changes are marked as "Read" without opening the details. To select multiple entries at the same time, hold down the "Command" key while clicking on the entries. See Keyboard Shortcuts. Accept You can use the "Accept" button to accept one or more job changes without opening the details. To select multiple entries at the same time, hold down the "Command" key while clicking on the entries. See Keyboard Shortcuts. Detail The "Job changes" window will open. The content of the window is dynamically adapted to the selected job change. You can only reject job changes in this window. Close Job The open job is closed and the job list is displayed.

Prerequisite: The "Change Order" function is protected by a dedicated license. If the corresponding license is not enabled, job changes made in the MIS are rejected, i.e. not taken into account in the Prinect Production workflow.
Note: It is possible to select multiple job changes, so that several job changes can be accepted or rejected at the same time. However, no details are displayed for multiple selections.
Note: A detailed description of how job changes are handled can be found here: Transfer job changes made in the MIS to the Prinect Workflow.
Note: Job changes that consist of reusing existing printing plates instead of re-imaging individual color separations are marked accordingly in the change list. If the printing plates have been reused for several color separations, these job changes are summarized in the table.
Note: If it is not guaranteed that a requested job change can be processed correctly in the Cockpit, for example because the relevant print job has been changed in the Cockpit and therefore no longer matches the original job defined in the MIS, job changes can be automatically rejected. To do this, the "Accept changes" option must be enabled in the JDF import settings. See "Job Changes" Tab. When accepting job changes manually, additional requirements are checked that may allow them to be accepted, although these changes are rejected in automatic operation. In this case, an error message displays. The reason for the rejection is noted down in the history and in the comment about the order change.
