Main Pane

A thumbnail of the selected product or product part now displays here.

Delivery quantity

This displays the delivery quantity that was transmitted by the MIS or was set in the "Delivery quantity" step in the Planning Assistant. See Delivery.

Product Type

The product type is displayed here if a product type has been defined for the job. See also Product Types.

Product Code

The "product code" defines a single product or a group of products and can contain the data used to control the production process of the job concerned (selection of the editing sequences, product type, printing material, print run, etc.). The product code can already have been defined in a web shop or on Prinect Signa Station (product part templates, segmented sheet layouts) before the job arrives at the Prinect Production workflow. This is where you can also enter the product code or modify it. A product code is essential, particularly for creating process instructions or for a "Smart Automation" workflow. See Instructions. The product code consists of a string of characters, which can contain the asterisk character "*" as a wildcard, i.e. as an interchangeable variable character. The product code also defines which product part template will be used by the Signa Station server to generate a layout.

IconNoteNote: The product code entered here is also displayed in the "Product code" column of the job list.

Internal Comments

This is where you can type in, modify or view a comment. This comment also displays in "Internal Comments" in the "Properties" section.

External Comments

This is where you can view comments transmitted by the MIS or recorded as job notes. See also "Job Notes" View.

Customer Data

IconNoteNote: Customer data is only displayed for the end product (top-level product part) and not for the lower-level product parts.

"Add to Master Data" button

In principle, the customer data relevant to a job should be entered and saved in the Prinect customer administration before the job is processed. See Customers. This ensures that the customer data is automatically recorded in the master data store.

However, a customer may be defined in an imported JDF file that is not yet available in the master data store. You can use the "Add to Master Data" button to transfer these imported customer data to the master data store.

"Reload from MDS" button

You can change customer data here in the job parameters, for example to delete contact persons of a contact type. These changes only affect the currently open job.

If you want to undo these changes, you can use the "Reload from MDS" button to reload the original customer data from the master data store (from the MDS database) into the job, thereby overwriting any changes made.

Customer Name/Customer ID/Nickname

Here you can see the customer-specific data for the job.

Customer Job ID and Job Name

Click this link for details about these parameters: "Create new Job" Window.

Customer data are displayed here if a customer is in the master data store (in the MDS database).

Remote Access

If the functionality of Prinect Portal Services is licensed, this is indicated by a "Yes". Otherwise, a "No" is displayed here.

Table with customer data

If a customer is assigned to the job, the detailed customer data are displayed here in an overview.

In this table, "User" means "external user", which only occurs in a Prinect Portal Services workflow, i.e. the "User" column only contains entries if the "Prinect Portal Services" functionality is licensed.

Customer Data

If a customer is assigned to the job – either from internal customer administration of the master data store or from an imported job – the existing customer data are displayed here. If necessary, you can change some of the customer data here, but not the customer name.

"Delete" button

You can delete communication channels for the assigned customer by selecting the relevant entries in the table and then clicking on the "Delete" button.
