"Direct connection of the machine" connection type

Choose this option when you connect a press whose control software offers a direct JDF/JMF connection to Prinect Production, for example a press with Press Center software. This connection type is the most comprehensive and fastest connection between the machine and the Prinect workflow. With this connection, job data are sent directly to the machine and the machine sends information such as the machine status, job status, or production data directly back to the Prinect workflow.

Finishing machines that can be connected online are connected using the "Data Terminal with machine direct" or "Data Terminal with JDF machine" connection types.

If this connection type is available, the subsequent configuration step in the Device Assistant looks like this:

To configure the parameters, follow the steps below:

​1.​First select the press corresponding to the press to connect in "Press Selection" (1).

​2.​The boxes in the area (2) are automatically completed according to the selected press. You can change the value for the gripper margin, if required.

​3.​The elements of area (3) appear as shown only if the "Direct connection of the machine" was selected in the previous configuration step. You can find details about the parameters in the examples below. See Examples.
