The Planning Assistant opens. See Planning Assistant).

Properties

The properties of the layout(s) are displayed (shortcut: Command + I). See Layout properties). You can only select this function if a layout, signature, sheet or surface was selected.

Note: You will also find the "Properties" function in the layout context-sensitive menu (F12 key).

Create

The "Create a new layout" window opens. See "Create New Layout" Window). If you set up this window and confirm with "OK", the Prinect Signa Station will open, where you can create a new layout interactively.

The following variants are possible:

​•​You want to create a new (additional) layout, irrespective of whether other layouts already exist.

​•​A layout already exists. The new layout will overwrite the existing layout. This works only if the new layout is created on the basis of MIS data.

​•​If MIS data have been imported into Prinect Production, an MIS parameter set is displayed in the "Jobs > Layouts" view. You can use this parameter set to interactively create a new layout that matches the MIS specifications exactly. The Job Assistant of the interactively launched Prinect Signa Station then has the defaults of these MIS parameters.

Note: You will also find the "Create Layout" function in the layout context menu.

Import Layout

This function allows you to import an existing layout into the job. Importable layouts can be created in a separate session outside of the Prinect Cockpit using the Prinect Signa Station, for example.

​1.​The "Select Layout" window opens when you click the "Import Layout" button.

​2.​Browse to the desired layout in the file system, select it and confirm with "OK". See also "Select layout" window.

​3.​The "Import Layout" window will then open. See also "Import Layout" window.

The layout is imported to all selected product parts if you defined product parts in the job.

Note: You will also find the "Import Layout" function in the layout context menu (shortcut Command + L).

Open

The selected layout is opened with the Prinect Signa Station for interactive editing (shortcut: Command + O). The original layout is overwritten by the changes.

Note: You will also find the "Open" function in the layout context menu.

Replace Layout

The selected layout is replaced by another, selectable layout (shortcut: Command + Shift + CL). The name of the original layout and the sheet names are kept.

​1.​When you click on "Replace layout", the "Select layout" window opens.

​2.​Browse the file system to the desired replacement layout and confirm with "OK". See "Select layout" window).

​3.​The "Replace layout" window will then open. See "Replace layout" window.

Close Job

The job is closed (shortcut: Command + W).
